Giving back to our community is deeply rooted in our values. For every purchase and sale transaction, we donate a portion of our proceeds to the Canadian Cancer Society and to the University of Toronto, where we established a scholarship to help students in financial need.
The Canadian Cancer Society
Several years ago, my mother was diagnosed with cancer (non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma) it was certainly one of the most devastating moments of my life. Before that moment, the word cancer seemed distant to me. It felt like something very unfortunate that only happened to other people, but then it hit close to home.
I saw how hard my mom fought this battle, how she was always positive and even through the pain and the suffering she always managed to smile, to lend a helping hand, to be there for others. She was always hopeful that a new treatment would restore her health. It was then that I began to pay closer attention to the work doctors do and the importance of experimental drugs and treatments, all in the hopes to beat cancer. Unfortunately, cancer robbed me of my mother.
In the 1940s, survival was about 25%. However, today about 60% of Canadians diagnosed with cancer will survive at least 5 years after their diagnosis. Cancer research is at the core of saving people’s lives. Donating towards research is our way of fighting back. In the past two years, the Canadian Cancer Society funded $40.66 million in leading edge research supporting more than 248 projects across the country including innovative clinical trials. The Canadian Cancer Society is also the only national charity that supports all Canadians living with all cancers across the country.
1 in 5 Canadians are diagnosed with cancer every year, and sadly it may touch any of us at some point in our lifetime. That is why it’s so crucial to support organizations that develop treatments for this terrible disease.
In memory of my mother, the In Black & White Real Estate Team contributes a percentage of our yearly earnings to The Canadian Cancer Society. The research done by this organization is extremely valuable and your business can help us raise more money for this noble cause.

The In Black & White Real Estate Scholarship at the University of Toronto
While attending the Rotman School of Management I was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship, therefore I recognize the lasting effect of this type of support. I have come to appreciate how the education that I received and the long-lasting relationships that I developed at the University of Toronto have positively affected my life.
With that in mind, in 2018 we established the In Black and White Real Estate Team Scholarship to help students who show academic excellence and have demonstrated financial need.
For every sale or purchase transaction completed by your or one of your referrals, we donate a portion of our income to the Canadian Cancer Society and to the In Black & White Real Estate Scholarship. When you refer someone to us, not only do you help our business, but you also benefit a very worthy cause. Your business and referrals help cancer patients and students in need.
